A Note from Sarah…
I still remember my first Homecoming.
I was a freshman– and to be honest, a little homesick. I hadn’t seen my parents since they dropped me off at school. So you can imagine my excitement as we reunited on campus.
As a daughter of two Roberts alumni, that Homecoming back in 2016 was so special for all three of us. Throughout that week, I attended numerous events that are still a tradition today: the Men’s Alumni Soccer Game, Homecoming Movie Night, the Homecoming Festival, Apple Picking, and Saturday Night Live, among others.
But even though those events were all really fun, at the end of the day, Homecoming was so much more than that. Simply being together in a special place that’s forever changed the lives of our family. It felt like a beautiful full-circle moment, bridging our past with my present. Seeing my parents reconnect with old friends made me excited about my future in the Roberts Community.
This is the magic of Homecoming: spending quality time with the people who made your time at Robert special.
My parents and I are really looking forward to spending time together at Homecoming 2024.
