Psychology Department News

Jennifer Aube, Keri Barnett, and Rod Bassett attended the Eastern Regional Meeting of the Christian Association for Psychological Studies, Oct. 16-17th, in Philadelphia, PA.   Faculty made three presentations:

 

  • Jennifer Aube presented on: Man Up: How Conformity to Masculine Norms Relates to the Emotional, Relational, and Spritual Well-Being of Boys and Men.

 

  • Keri Barnett presented on:   Guidance for Early Career Professionals in Navigating Private Practice and Academia,co-authored by Beth Claes.

 

  • Rod Bassett presented on:   Looking at Sex from Different Perspectives: The Sexual Lenses Scale, co-authored by RWC students Jennifer Barry, Elizabeth Liberate, James Reaves, Joe Reiss, Carson Fuhrman, & Sarah Schwartz.

 

Cheryl Repass accompanied several students to the New York State Association for School Psychologists (NYASP) in Verona, NY on Thursday, Oct. 22.     Bethany Claes had a poster presentation at the meeting entitled: Transition to kindergarten: The impact of preschool on kindergarten adjustment.

 

In addition, two of our graduate students were honored at the conference:

                              Rachel Schwingel received the Ted Bernstein Award

                              Ashley Cooper was granted a NYASP Scholarship by the Board
