Anna grew up in Western NY before attending Mercyhurst University where she ran cross country and completed a double major in Sports Medicine and Exercise Science. She then attended Baylor University, where she received a Ph.D. in Exercise and Nutrition Sciences. Anna completed her dissertation work in the Law Laboratory, whose overarching goal was to understand the physiological and molecular mechanisms of cardiac dysfunction in cancer cachexia to improve treatment strategies and quality of life for cancer patients. She is a professional member of and holds certifications from both the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Anna is a Certified Exercise Physiologist and has experience working with various clinical populations, including patients with cardiac, pulmonary, and neurologic disorders.
