Mental Health Counseling Intern

Bio/Experience:

Supporting individuals through life stressors, transitions, and changes is not only a passion of mine, but a significant area of experience. I have worked in both outpatient and residential treatment settings, providing care to individuals with substance use disorders, eating disorders, and other comorbid mental health diagnoses. I am QPR Certified (Question, Persuade, Refer) for suicide prevention and have experience providing crisis services through a crisis support hotline.

Education/Training:

Bachelor’s degree in psychology (communication minor), SUNY Geneseo.

Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, University of Rochester (Anticipated May 2024)

Personal Interests:

I love cooking, spending time with family, and all things fall!

My favorite saying is one that a great professor told me in my first semester of my master’s program and is: "you can do hard things".
