Homecoming 2016 is in the books and it was one for the ages! The week began with a celebration of our alumni as we recognized Dr. Jesse Wenger ’03 with the Young Alumnus of the Year Award and Dr. Elvera Berry ’63 as the Alumna of the Year. On Wednesday we celebrated the life of BT Roberts with the Earnest Christianity Conference & Academic Day. Friday’s highlight was the 150th Celebration Concert featuring talented graduates of Roberts Wesleyan College’s acclaimed music program performing with the Roberts Wesleyan College Community Orchestra.
A beautiful day and record crowds greeted alumni, friends, and students on Saturday for the parade, reunions, food, family events, and the Taste of Roberts. Sunday capped off the week with a special service at Pearce Memorial Church featuring President Deana L. Porterfield and Paul Patton as BT Roberts.
We hope you were able to join us as we celebrated 150 years of Education for Character. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to what God has in store for the next 150 years!
