Roberts Men’s Soccer signs local Sectional V Champion, Dominic Coco
Spencerport High School standout forward, Dominic Coco, has signed a Letter of Intent to play for Roberts Wesleyan College next season. Coco, a four year varsity player, helped Spencerport High School earn two Section V Class AAA Championships (2004, 2007).
Dominic had several recognizable achievements his senior season; 2007 First Team All Greater Rochester, First Team Monroe County and selection to the Senior Section V All-Star Game. For the past two seasons, Dominic has been the team’s leading scorer and ranks fifth all time among Spencerport scorers with 25 goals and 15 assists. One of his senior highlights includes Dominic’s four goal performance in the Class AAA Sectional Semi-Finals defeating the higher seed team 4-3.
At Roberts, Dominic will rejoin his two teammates from Spencerport High School Chris Farnsworth (2004 High School All- American) and Tom Graham (2004 Section V Tournament MVP).
Coach Fish is excited about Dominic Coco joining the program “I have had the pleasure of knowing the Coco family for many years. They are an incredible family and have raised a very respectful young man. Roberts Wesleyan College is a great fit for Dominic academically, socially and spiritually. Dominic is an extremely hard worker with constant desire to improve on and off the field. With Dominic’s attitude, athleticism, versatility and ability to finish I foresee him being an immediate impact player for our program.”
