Roberts Men’s Soccer Signs Two Division I Transfers; Dan Ames and Jake Schindler
The Roberts Wesleyan College Men’s Soccer Team has strengthened their program with the addition of two Division I transfers; Dan Ames and Jake Schindler.
Dan Ames, a two year starter for Division I George Mason University, will begin his first season with Roberts Wesleyan College in the upcoming fall season. Dan led Livonia High School to four Sectional Championships in his five years playing varsity soccer. During his tenure, Dan scored a remarkable 112 goals and had 94 assists, including a NYS Record of 39 assists in one season. Dan was a three time All Greater Rochester player, a 2003 NSCAA Regional Player and 2003 All State player.
Coach Fish is ecstatic about Dan’s decision to transfer to Roberts Wesleyan College. “Dan is an impressive person who I have had the privilege to get to know this past year. I am so pleased with Dan’s desire to attend a Christian college to complete his degree. Dan is an exceptional player and athlete who will be one of the top players in the American Mid-East Conference. He has an incredible knowledge of the game and a work rate that will be contagious to his teammates.”
Jake Schindler transferred to Roberts Wesleyan College after playing one season for Division I, Niagara University. Prior to Niagara University, Jake played four seasons of varsity soccer for West Irondequoit High School, NY. During his four seasons, Jake had multiple recognitions which included; First Team All-Greater Rochester, First Team All-County and 2nd Team All-State.
Coach Fish states, “Jake was one of our top recruits two years ago and we are very excited about his decision to transfer to Roberts Wesleyan College. RWC is a great environment for Jake to grow as a person and player. Jake’s exceptional athleticism and strength will be a tremendous asset for our soccer program. Jake brings leadership, skill and experience that will help elevate our program this upcoming season.”
