So, You’re Angry With God?

0 0

Maybe you know someone who’s angry with God, or maybe you are angry with God yourself.  Hey, I’ve been there, and so have most, if not all, Christians.  Anger with God is reasonable; in fact, Scripture invites us to be angry and express that anger with God.  This is best portrayed in the book of Job, where God allows Satan to take everything away from Job.  Job loses his family, livestock, wealth, and personal health.  Then Job becomes angry with God, and you can read some beautiful dialogue about the discourse in their relationship.  But at the end of the book, this discourse shows us that we should keep our faith, because God is the only one who truly knows how the universe works.  After all, He was there at the beginning.

So how does any of this relate to you and your anger with God?  Well, maybe it’s time to tell God how you feel.  Don’t let the discourse in your relationship stunt your growth with God or push you away from Him.  Enter into a time of prayer and tell God how you truly feel.  I promise that He can handle whatever you might say.  Don’t hold back.  God knows where your heart truly lies.  He knows if you’re angry… so let it out and be honest.  Only when you let that anger out can God’s love take that place.
