Student Gaslight: Ferris Bueller

0 0

The Student Gaslight is a quintessential part of every Beacon issue. This issue’s Student Gaslight will be shone upon Ferris Bueller, who has also been a quintessential student at Roberts. Ferris Bueller, currently majoring in Persuasive Psychology, originally applied to Roberts because of our car show every homecoming. He is an avid enthusiast of classic roadsters, specifically the 1961 Ferrari California Spyder. Why that car in particular? No reason, but it does take the Roberts speed bumps decently.

Ferris’ favorite part of campus life is the Impersonation Club, where students make fake phone calls to businesses around Rochester. Whoever gets the most free merchandise after an hour of calling wins. He also enjoys how each building on campus has roof access available to all students – he says these are the best places to study, relax, and practice team sports.

Ferris came to Roberts with a mission. Because Roberts’s students are so stressed, everyone must understand that taking a day off is normal. In fact, when asked what he would do to improve the school, he just said Senior Skip Day should be an annual tradition at Roberts. He also said that “school’s for nuns, skipping for chums.”

Lastly, some advice from Ferris: “Put yourself in places you don’t belong. If you have to impersonate somebody to get ahead in life, so be it. It’ll always be worth it. Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”
