Assistant to the President
Position Description/Responsibilities: The Office of the President seeks a full-time Assistant to the President to provide operational and administrative oversight of the Office, including functions requiring a thorough knowledge of College and Seminary policies, procedures, and operations. The Assistant to the President has recurring contact with members of the Board of Trustees, senior administrators, public and private officials, the media, students, and parents. She/he exercises initiative and independent judgment in managing the President’s schedule and the office’s daily activities and uses discretion in disseminating information to faculty, students, staff and the various constituencies served by the College and Seminary, coordinating activities with appropriate people and offices. Additional key responsibilities include promoting a positive image of the College and Seminary by receiving visitors to the President's office; serving as event coordinator for various functions of the President’s Office; responding to inquiries from diverse constituents; coordinating the flow of incoming and outgoing communications; and representing the President’s Office on select College committees.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of increasingly responsible secretarial or administrative experience is required, which must include an extensive knowledge of general office procedures and practices and responsibility for the supervision of others on a regular basis. Highly professional demeanor with a strong commitment to the Mission of the College and Seminary and excellent customer service required as well as the ability to work independently, use initiative, maintain confidentiality, and make substantive decisions quickly. Excellent organizational, MS Office and communication skills are required. Able to manage, prioritize, and execute multiple projects.
