New Testament Faculty (Northeastern Seminary)
Northeastern Seminary at Roberts Wesleyan College invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in New Testament Studies. While primary competence should be in the New Testament (including second temple Judaism), applicants should be able to teach in both testaments as needed. Candidates with an auxiliary competence in ministry, especially homiletics, are preferred. Applicants should be committed to a vocation of teaching and scholarship on behalf of the church and have demonstrated competence or promise in both classroom and online instruction. A PhD or comparable degree in biblical studies is expected though outstanding late-stage ABD applications will be considered. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Northeastern Seminary is a fully-accredited, multi-denominational seminary offering MA, MDiv, and DMin degrees. The Seminary especially encourages applications from persons who would bring diversity to the faculty. Application materials, including a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, and evaluations of teaching (if available), should be submitted electronically to Dr. Douglas Cullum, vice president and dean at Faculty_Search@roberts.edu. The Application for NES Faculty Employment can be found at www.roberts.edu/employment. Three confidential letters of recommendation should also be submitted electronically or mailed to the dean at Northeastern Seminary, 2265 Westside Drive, Rochester, NY 14624. www.nes.edu.
