Janneke Hoogland

Janneke Hoogland has taught at Roberts Wesleyan College since 1998. She is also a cello instructor at the Eastman Community Music School, and previously taught at Houghton College. 

Janneke earned her Master of Music degree in Cello Performance from the Eastman School of Music where she studied with Steven Doane. She received a Bachelor of Music degree in Cello Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music studying with Irene Sharp. 

Janneke has performed with the Rochester Philharmonic, and is currently a member of the Rochester Chamber Orchestra, the Genesee String Quartet, and Flutaro, a flute, guitar, cello trio. A native of the West Coast, she has also performed with the Eugene Symphony, the Oregon Mozart Players, and the Sacramento Symphony.
