Wally enjoys Roberts and has been enriched by the students he has encountered since he began teaching on campus in 1998. Retiring from full-time pastoral ministry in 2017, he continues to preach in area churches and teach at the college and seminary. Over the past six years, he has been involved in partnering with a village in the nation of Rwanda, assisting in the development of a school and church in that rural African community. Wally savors conversations over cups of coffee in local cafes. His First-Year Seminar places an emphasis on such moments and introduces students to his “Clink! Sip! Ahhh!” ritual! He and his wife, Mary, live in nearby Churchville.
