Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate

NOTE: This is a post-graduate certificate registered with New York State.

Roberts’ Family Nurse Practitioner Post-Master’s Certificate is designed for licensed nurses with an M.S. in Nursing who want to play a critical role in the future of their profession.

As part of our customized pathways, a Program Director will conduct a Gap Analysis to identify the specific graduate nursing courses you need for this certificate.

Non-matriculated students are welcome to apply to take individual courses.

Tuition & Fees

The 2024-2025 cost per credit hour for this program is $954 per credit.

With 40 credit hours in the program, that's a total of $38,160 to complete the program!

Note: Completion of a Post-Master's Certificate may require additional credits outside of what is provided in the program.  Fees vary by program and cost is subject to change each academic year. Admission Requirements

  • B.S. degree with a nursing major from an accredited program*
  • Unencumbered licensure to practice as a registered professional nurse in New York State
  • Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.3 on a scale of 4.0
  • Successful completion (B minus or higher) of a statistics course
  • Current employment as a Registered Nurse
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written communication
  • Two years of nursing experience
    • For RNs with less than two years of RN experience, the Graduate Curriculum Committee may consider other significant experience in health care, including working as an LPN
  • Review and sign the technical standards
