Alumni Spotlight: Baxter'11, '14 is the New Sheriff in Town

Todd Baxter ’11 (Organizational Management) and ’14 (Master’s of Strategic Leadership) won the race for Monroe County sheriff. Baxter received 57 percent of the vote – that’s 91,328 votes – and will begin his four-year term on Jan. 1. He previously was the executive director at the Veterans Outreach Center. Baxter served 23 years with the Rochester Police Department and previously served as the Greece (N.Y.) police chief. He has taught in the Organizational Management program at Roberts as an adjunct faculty member. He lives in Spencerport with his wife, Mary, and has two children.

Baxter defeated Patrick O’Flynn, who had been sheriff since 2001. O’Flynn graduated in 1991 from Roberts Wesleyan College from the Organizational Management program.
