Roberts and Northeastern Partner with Barnes & Noble College to Manage Bookstore

Roberts Wesleyan College and Northeastern Seminary have named Barnes & Noble College, a Barnes & Noble Education company, as the new operator of the bookstore on campus, effective June 1, 2018.

“Roberts Wesleyan College is very excited to partner with Barnes & Noble College,” said Laurie J. Leo, chief financial officer at Roberts Wesleyan College. “A selection team of faculty and staff were impressed by the national reputation, customer service and knowledge of Barnes & Noble College. We feel this change will offer variety and affordability for our students.”

Nationally, Barnes & Noble College is recognized for the innovative programs and solutions it brings to campuses. The selection of Barnes & Noble College will allow the bookstore to provide a variety of affordable learning materials, including a robust rental textbook program and an extensive selection of used, new and digital textbooks, as well access to the Barnes & Noble College Price Match program. The company will also manage the bookstore e-commerce site, allowing students, faculty and alumni the convenience of shopping in store or online.

In addition to a variety of affordable learning materials, students will be able to purchase a greater selection of products reflecting the college and seminary brands, including logo apparel and gifts. The bookstore will also offer snacks and beverages, school supplies, technology products and more.

Additionally, faculty will gain access to an online community called FacultyEnlight, a streamlined textbook adoption platform that combines advanced search capabilities with detailed information on course material formats, pricing and reviews by other faculty.

“We are proud to partner with Roberts Wesleyan College and Northeastern Seminary,” said Patrick Maloney, president of Barnes & Noble College. “We look forward to supporting the campus community by delivering a dynamic in-store and online retail experience, innovative technologies, and affordable, high-quality learning materials that empower academic success.”

Barnes & Noble College operates more than 780 campus stores nationwide. For more information about, visit www.bncollege.com.
