A Special Message from Mary Flaherty to the Class of 2020

Congratulations to the class of 2020!

As we started the semester in January, none of us could have anticipated how the semester would unfold and that we would finish the semester in a virtual format. I'm so proud of what you all have accomplished and the way you have adjusted and made modifications in order to complete your degrees. For many of you, that meant changes to internships, student teaching and practicum experiences. For others, it meant cancelled music performances, exhibits and athletic events. I'm sure this was a disappointment to you, as it has been for the entire campus community, but I encourage you to focus on the skills and strengths that you have learned and developed as part of this experience. Know that while we cannot be together in-person, we are celebrating you and the work that you have done these last four years.

What's next for each you may not be clear, but what is clear is that you are now a part of our alumni community! This community wants to celebrate and support you along with the faculty and staff at Roberts. Our alumni are doing amazing work throughout the United States and the world. My prayer for you is that as you leave this place that you will remember that no matter what you do, do it with all your hearts, as working for the Lord. (Colossians 3:23)

Congratulations again on all that you have accomplished!
