Dean of the School of Nursing Interviewed for RBJ Story: "Nursing schools find innovative ways for students to succeed"

Roberts Wesleyan University's School of Nursing is addressing the healthcare workforce needs through diverse educational pathways, ranging from traditional in-person programs to flexible online options. Under dean Dr. Annemarie Dowling-Castronovo, the school continues its 70-year tradition of nursing education while adapting to modern learning needs.

"We have some stellar faculty that have navigated the online modality in a way that allows a student to be working and do the coursework on their time," says Dowling-Castronovo, who joined as dean this spring.

The school offers multiple graduate-level tracks for nurse educators and leaders, including a new Family Nurse Practitioner program focused on primary care. The School of Nursing is committed to high-touch education across all platforms, whether traditional classroom settings or asynchronous online learning.
