Who Will I Meet?

Elaine Gregory, Ph.D.,

Dr. Gregory taught elementary and secondary physical education and health for seven years on Long Island, where she also coached girls soccer, basketball, and softball. She spent twenty years at Syracuse University. Dr. Gregory was brought to Roberts to create and implement the physical education program here.
Dr. Gregory loves to read and sew and ride her bike on the canal bike paths. She used to spend summers driving dump trucks for her family’s gravel business, but has since retired her CDL license. Read more about Dr. Elaine Gregory!

Dakota Lutz, Physical Education Major

I have a relationship with my professors, friends, and faculty that others would see as a family. In these last few years I have broken out of my shell, attained skills that I will use for a lifetime, attended conferences and events that boosted my confidence, and had other experiences that made me ready to teach our youth. I thank my school, professors, and friends here at Roberts Wesleyan College for that experience. I now have two homes in western New York, one in Avon and the other here at Roberts.

Awards

The Jay B. Nash Award is given to two physical education majors in New York State each year by the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance. This is a prestigious honor and Roberts Wesleyan College is proud to have had three winners in the past three years.
