RN to BS program

The Department of Nursing at Roberts Wesleyan College advances the profession of nursing through education, practice, and scholarship within a supportive Christian academic environment for students, staff, and faculty. The RN to BS program is a unique alternative to the traditional method of pursuing a college degree. It is designed specifically for Registered Nurses to earn their bachelor’s degree while continuing to work. The program is completed in 15 months with a curriculum that is stimulating, relevant, challenging, and rewarding, in a format that recognizes the needs of the adult learner. The student may attend class once a week in various sites around western NY or opt for a fully online delivery of the program.
Admission Criteria:
- Graduation from an accredited associate degree or diploma nursing program
- Registered Nurse licensure in the United States or Canada
- Current employment of at least 20 hours per week as a registered nurse
- Minimum of 60 semester credit hours of transferable credit from regionally accredited colleges and universities
SPECIFICS OF THE NURSING B.S. DEGREE
Minimum Total Hours: 125
Total Liberal Arts Hours: 60
Minimum Requirements: GPA of 2.0 in the major and overall; no grade less than C in the major.
Transfer policy: Nursing courses, A&P I and II, and College Composition will transfer in only if the grade is C or better. See Undergraduatel transfer policies.

Other Requirements:
- Students can complete the majority or all of the remaining credits during the 15-month program through Life Learning Papers (LLPs). The LLP process is taught in Module 2 and most students will be able to complete all LLPs by the end of the modules. LLP credits are billed at $250 per paper.
