The Master of Science in Nursing Education degree program is designed for working RN's who hold a bachelor's degree and want to be an important part of nursings' future -- those who want to become a nurse educator. The program utilizes evidence-based learning methods to develop students' expertise through practice teaching in an area of choice and preparation for multiple teaching settings. Students will master the latest technological advances in education and be prepared for success in the nurse educator role.

Admission Criteria:

  • B.S Degree with a nursing major from an accredited program or the equivalent (or completion of our Bridge Program)
  • Licensure as a professional registered nurse within New York State (MSNE students) or the US territories or Canada (MSNLA Students).  Other licensure will be evaluated on an individual basis
  • Equivalent of one year full-time employment as a professional registered nurse
  • Accumulated grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a scale of 4.00
  • Successful completion (B minus or higher) of a course  in statistics
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written communication

Transfer Credit is not accepted for this program.
