Business Marketing, B.S.

The B.S. in Business Marketing (BMKT) will prepare adult students for a profession in marketing and/or to hone their existing competencies in the industry. However, no previous experience in the field of marketing is required. Students will learn the foundations of marketing such as planning, strategy, target markets, advertising options, consumer behavior principles, digital marketing and social media, and public relations. They will leave the program knowing how to apply research methods to marketing issues and how to create an integrated marketing campaign employing a variety of strategies to connect with the target audience.

Admission Criteria:

Attend an information meeting, choose your desired start date, complete an online application, and include the following documents:

  1. Official Transcripts from every college or university you attended.
  2. A current professional résumé, describing your relevant experience and training.
  3. Application essay (500 words or less). Instructions and submission available through the online application.

SPECIFICS OF THE BUSINESS MARKETING B.S. DEGREE

Minimum Total Hours:
 120

Total Liberal Arts Hours: 60

Minimum Requirements: GPA of 2.0 in the major and overall; no grade less than C- in the major.

Requirements:

  • Complete 3 hours of microeconomics or survey of economics prior to degree completion
  • Complete 3 hours of principles of marketing prior to degree completion
