Cybercrime Investigations

The Cybercrime Investigations minor is a stand-alone, subject-matter specific program that prepares the student for a specialized career as a Cybercrime Investigator in the public or private sectors.  The minor complements and strengthens the Homeland Security and Applied Intelligence (HSI), and traditional Criminal Justice (CJ) majors.  Business students may also benefit because cybercrime investigations are an important component for protection of infrastructure in the corporate world.

The requirements for the minor are as follows:

  • CYBR 1010, Introduction to Cybercrime Investigations, 3 credits
  • CYBR 2010, Introduction to Digital Forensics Investigations, 3 credits
  • CYBR 3010, Computer Forensics, 3 credits
  • CYBR 3030, Cyber Intelligence, 3 credits
  • CYBR 4010, Mobile Device Forensics, 3 credits
  • CYBR/HSAI 4030, Geographical Information Systems Mapping, 3 credits
