Biblical Studies, A.A.

This A.A. program is designed to empower students to interpret and apply the Bible faithfully and contextually for the purpose of effective ministry in God's world. Students who complete the degree will then have the opportunity to transition into a B.A. or B.S. program or, in some instances, directly into a Masters-level program at Northeastern Seminary.
SPECIFICS OF THE BIBLICAL STUDIES, A.A. DEGREE
Minimum Total Hours: 60
Minimum Requirements: Overall and major GPA of 2.0; no grade less than C- in the major.
Application to the Major: Standard institutional major application must be submitted. A minimum overall GPA of 2.0 is required for acceptance to the major.
Major Requirements: 36 hours as follows:
- 12-credit biblical studies core
- BIBL 1000 - Journey Through the Bible;
- BIBL 1500 - Biblical Studies Workshop;
- BIBL 2010 - Synoptic Gospels;
- BIBL 2060 - Torah;
- One 3000-level elective in biblical studies (BIBL 3010 or 3040)
- 6-credits in ministry
- MINS 1010 - Mission of God;
- MINS 2011 - Biblical Leadership;
- 12-credits in theology
- THEO 2700 - Biblical Theology and Spiritual Formation;
- THEO 2701 - Biblical Grace and Salvation;
- THEO 2800 - Biblical Theology and Creation
- THEO 2900 - Biblical Ethics
- PHIL 2101
- 24-credits of General Education coursework
