2015-16 Non-Traditional & Graduate Catalog

School of Professional Studies

David Basinger, Ph.D., Dean

The School of Professional Studies is comprised of five departments. The programs offered are of the highest quality, with all having state and/or national accreditation. The faculty are without exception well-prepared academically and possess real-life experience related to what they are teaching. Many colleges, Roberts included, offer students the technical training necessary to succeed in a wide variety of professions.  What sets Roberts apart is its emphasis on the whole person – as a physical, psychological, social, rational, and spiritual being.  We believe that no one method of inquiry or verification is the sole route to knowledge and that no one set of skills provides sufficiently for a life of service and achievement.  A Roberts professional education presupposes both the complexity of the world and the diversity of human nature so augments professional training with a solid grounding in the aesthetic, historic, philosophic, and scientific disciplines.  The result is impressive.  Roberts consistently graduates highly skilled individuals who have the character, communication skills, caring spirit, and spiritual maturity to effect a real and permanent change in our world.

The School of Professional Studies is comprised of five departments (with undergraduate and graduate programs available in each department):

  • Adult Professional Studies
  • Business
  • Nursing
  • Social Work
  • Teacher Education

Those interested in traditional undergraduate programs are encouraged to contact the Office of Admissions or the individual departments for further information.
