Music Therapy, B.S.
[B.S. in MUSIC THERAPY - 1099]
B.S. in Music Therapy prepares students for board-certification by thoughtfully combining coursework in Music Foundations, Psychology, Human Development and Music Therapy. Students will develop musicianship skills on their primary instrument, as well as develop foundational skills in piano, voice, guitar and percussion. Students will also graduate with the courses found in a Social Welfare minor, giving them an excellent foundation that will enable them to use music as a therapeutic tool for a variety of client populations and clinical settings.
NOTE: Music Therapy majors participate in the nearest commencement ceremony following completion of all credit-bearing work. However, degrees will not be conferred until after completion of a Music Therapy Internship (MUTR 4500).
