Meet the Commencement Speaker
Holly M. Hillberg, Trustee
Since coming to Rochester more than 40 years ago, Holly Hillberg has held a broad range of leadership positions, which have included product development, manufacturing, marketing, global business management, operations, strategy, chief technology officer and chief marketing officer. Most recently, Mrs. Hillberg has served as Vice President of Research & Development at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, part of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies. Since then, Holly has been consulting in the region with a focus on helping early stage start up companies.
Holly and her husband, Willy, have been actively involved in serving and supporting young people in this community and around the globe. They have been integral partners in the Flower City Work Camp, the annual program that enlists teens to offer home renovation and the hope of Jesus in the City of Rochester. Together they have led groups of teens on more than a dozen mission trips.
Holly graduated from Michigan Technological University in 1983 with a degree in chemical engineering and in 1992 earned her master’s degree in electrical engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology. She worked for 25 years at Eastman Kodak Co. and later for Carestream Health Inc., the company created when Kodak sold its Health Group. In 2009 Holly was the Rochester Athena Award recipient for leadership and achievement. She has served on the board of directors for a number of organizations and is a trustee at UR Medicine. Holly and her husband, Willy, live in a vineyard overlooking Keuka Lake. Traveling, gardening, running, skiing and pickleball are regularly on the Hillberg calendar.
