Roberts Wesleyan University President Rupert A. Hayles Jr. has been named one of Rochester's most influential leaders in the Rochester Business Journal's (RBJ) Power 100 list for the second year in a row. This year’s RBJ Power List was published on Feb. 21.

The Power 100 list highlights leaders throughout the community – in industries ranging from higher education and medical, to finance and technology – who are working tirelessly to make a positive impact in Rochester.

Hayles, who has served as Roberts Wesleyan University president since 2023, said, ”Building trust starts with making meaningful impacts on people's lives in the community," Hayles said. "At Roberts Wesleyan, we create positive experiences through strategic partnerships, diverse learning opportunities, summer academic and athletic programs, and active service to others. By listening to our community and embracing change, we're working to make a difference in higher education in the Greater Rochester region."
