Our Engineering degree is one of the most customizable majors on campus. Designed as a 3+2 program, you’ll start your first STEM degree at Roberts, then earn your engineering degree at a partner institution or a school of your choice.

The discipline has many subfields, including mechanical, electrical, civil, materials, aerospace, nuclear, agricultural, marine, structural, biomedical, chemical, computer, industrial, and environmental engineering.
An engineering career can prove to be extremely rewarding. Along with high average compensation, engineers can contribute positively to society, see tangible results, choose from a variety of fields of work, enjoy regular working hours, and employ innovation in their work.
What degree do you need to be an engineer?
To be an engineer, you typically need a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline. Some jobs may require a master’s degree.
According to the US Bureau of Labor, the median annual wage for those in mechanical engineering was $95,300 in 2021.
Naturally, the numbers will differ by area, level, field of engineering, and position.
Can I meet with a Engineering advisor when I visit Roberts?
Yes! If you come to campus for an individual visit, you can meet individually with a professor to get an overview of the major and your individual questions answered. Our Discovery Day events typically include a Faculty & Services Expo, where you can meet your future professors.
