Theological Writing Requirements
Northeastern Seminary’s degree programs require a graduate-level proficiency in writing. Prior to enrollment, all students must complete a segment on writing and citation instruction as part of online orientation. This is designed to help students develop their skills in theological research and writing and is critically important to a successful educational experience.
Practicum in Theological Writing (CMC 501NE) is open to all students, however students earning a D+ (1.3) or below in BHT/BIB 511 will be required to take CMC 501NE in conjunction with the second Core course; for students earning a C+ (2.3) or below, it will be strongly recommended that they take CMC 501NE in conjunction with the second Core course. Students who are required to take CMC 501NE are required to earn a passing grade in the course in order to earn a degree from Northeastern Seminary.
