Celebrating the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Roberts Wesleyan College and Northeastern Seminary endeavor at all times to honor the principles proclaimed by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. During the second week in January, as the nation celebrates his legacy, the College and Seminary highlight our remembrance and recognition of Dr. King through these special events:

  • January 15, 2018
    • Roberts Wesleyan College and Northeastern Seminary classes are not held so that students can participate in community recognition events
  • January 17, 2018
    • Roberts Chapel program honors the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr.
      • Featured Guest Speaker: Rev. David Ham, alumnus of Roberts Wesleyan College and Pastor at Times Square Church, NYC, 11:00 am, Hale Auditorium
  • January 20, 2018
    • King for a Day Community Service Project – Roberts students will join other area college students for a morning of volunteer service in the greater Rochester Community. This year’s theme stems from these words of Dr. King, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: ‘What are you doing for others?’”
