The Master of Science in Nursing Education degree program is designed for working RNs who hold a bachelor's degree in nursing and want to be an important part of nursing's future -- those who want to become a nurse educator. The program utilizes evidence-based learning methods to develop students' expertise through a sequence of courses, practice teaching in an area of choice, and preparation for multiple teaching settings. Students will master the latest technological advances in education and be prepared for success in the nurse educator role. The Master of Science in Nursing Education is an accelerated online program that can be completed in 18-20 months.

The Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Administration degree program is designed for working RNs who hold a bachelor's degree in nursing and are in or are seeking leadership positions in the healthcare system. Based on nursing science, with a significant focus on evidence-based practice, the business aspects of healthcare, and the latest technological advances, this program will develop and hone students' leadership expertise and their knowledge of administration and management in nursing. The coursework, graduate project, and internship will prepare the graduate to be a visionary leader and a participant in the improvement of the healthcare system. This is an accelerated online program that can be completed in 18-20 months.

The Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner program is a part-time program designed for working RNs who hold a bachelor's degree in nursing and who are seeking a role in advanced practice nursing in primary care. Coursework is offered in a fully online format and can be completed in just under three years. The 600 hours of required clinical and 1-week intensive on-campus experience prepares students to provide a wide range of services to patients of all ages.

The Advanced Certificate in Nursing Leadership and Administration and the Advanced Certificate in Nursing Education programs are available for students who have previously earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree. Students take five nursing leadership and administration or education courses for 18 semester hours of credit and earn the post-master's certificate. The Advanced Certificate in Family Nurse Practitioner is available for students who have previously earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree. Most students will need anywhere from 25-37 credits to earn the post-master's Advanced Certificate depending on their previous graduate education.

RN to MS Program

The RN to MS program is an innovative 29-month time-shortened program offering nurses the opportunity to earn both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Nursing. The program is offered in a convenient online format. It is designed for Registered Nurses with a bachelor's degree outside of the discipline of nursing who want to earn both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Nursing while continuing to work. Students who maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher in the bachelor's level courses of the program can immediately enter the Graduate program in either Nursing Leadership and Administration or Nursing Education.
